Genivox Limited (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates Repa, a mobile application that plans a week of meals, builds the grocery list to match, and reads photos of your fridge or a meal. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it goes, and what we do and do not keep.
The short version
Your week plan, grocery list, cooked meals and saved recipes live on your phone, not on our servers. We have no user accounts, so we never learn your name, email address or payment details. Photos of your fridge or a meal are sent for AI analysis only at the moment you take them, and we keep no copy.
Repa does advertise. If you allow it, we measure which advertisements bring people to the App so we can spend less on advertising. You can decline, and the App works exactly the same. We never sell your data.
By downloading or using Repa you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. We may update this Policy; continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised version.
Repa is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13. Because the App has no sign-up and collects no name or email address, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Most of what Repa knows about you never leaves your device.
| Information | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Your answers during setup — household size, budget, diet, allergies, taste, equipment, pantry staples, shops you use | On your device only. Used to build your plan. Never sent to us. |
| Your week plan, grocery list, cooked-meal marks, saved recipes, meal photos you log | On your device only. |
| Photos of your fridge or of a meal | Sent for AI analysis at the moment you take them, then discarded. See section 4. |
| Anonymous app-usage events — screens viewed, plan generated, subscription screen opened | Sent to our analytics providers. Not linked to your name, because we do not have it. |
| Subscription status and purchase events | Handled by Apple; reported to our analytics and advertising providers. |
| A random identifier generated on first launch, and your device advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking) | Used to measure advertising. See section 6. |
| Crash and performance diagnostics | Sent to our analytics provider so we can fix faults. |
We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, postal address or payment details, because the App has no accounts and Apple handles all payments.
Two features use artificial intelligence, and both work the same way. When you photograph the inside of your fridge, or photograph a meal to log it, the image is resized on your phone and any location information is removed before it is sent. It then travels over an encrypted connection to our server function, which passes it to our AI provider (OpenAI) for analysis and returns the result to you.
You can use Repa fully without ever taking a photograph. Both features are optional.
A small number of providers receive limited information so the App can function.
| Provider | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Subscription and purchase status | To process payments and restore purchases |
| OpenAI | Fridge and meal photos, at the moment of scanning | To identify what is in the photograph |
| Google (Firebase) | Anonymous usage events, crash diagnostics, app-integrity tokens, downloaded recipe language packs | Analytics, fault diagnosis, protecting our servers from misuse, delivering translated recipes |
| Superwall | Subscription-screen events and purchase outcomes | To manage and test the subscription screen |
| Meta (Facebook) | Install, subscription-screen views, trial starts and purchases, and your advertising identifier if you allow tracking | Advertising measurement — see section 6 |
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
We advertise Repa. To know which advertisements are worth paying for, we need to see that someone who tapped an advertisement went on to install the App and start a subscription.
The first time you open the App, iOS asks whether Repa may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. That prompt is Apple’s, and your answer is entirely yours to give.
You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on your device.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Your plan, grocery list, saved recipes and preferences are stored on your device. The limited event and diagnostic data described above is processed on servers operated by our providers, which may be located in the United States or elsewhere.
Photographs sent for AI analysis are not retained after the result is returned. Anonymous event and diagnostic data is retained by our providers according to their own retention schedules.
Everything else lives on your device, so you control it directly: clear it in the App, or delete the App and it is gone. Because we have no accounts, there is no server-side profile of you for us to delete.
All communication between the App and our servers uses encrypted connections. Our AI server function is protected by Apple’s App Attest so that only genuine copies of Repa can call it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live — including the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and California — you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent.
In practice, most of these rights you exercise yourself: your information is on your device, and deleting the App removes it. For advertising, withdrawing consent is a single switch in your device settings. For anything else, contact us at the address below and we will respond.
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
We may update this Policy as the App changes. The date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted in the App.
